DDoS Resilience Testing

Validate your infrastructure under real-world traffic load

Measuring how your critical digital services (online banking, e-commerce, government portals) behave under heavy traffic and DDoS attacks is vital to business continuity. In a controlled environment we run L7 and L3/L4 attack simulations to validate your defense capacity and the effectiveness of your ISP/WAF protection services before a real outage occurs.

Audit and Compliance: This service is aligned with BDDK Information Systems Continuity and Disaster Recovery articles, ISO 22301 Business Continuity and cyber resilience guidelines for critical infrastructure.

Audit Scope

Perimeter testing with hybrid attack scenarios

Three main axes: from the network layer to the application layer and capacity thresholds.

Network and Transport Layer (L3/L4)

We measure the response time of Firewall, IPS and DDoS protection services (Scrubbing Center) under volumetric attacks.

  • •SYN/ACK Flood: Firewall session management analysis.
  • •UDP/ICMP Flood: Identifying the bandwidth saturation limit.
  • •DNS/NTP Amplification: Validation of protection at the ISP level.

Application Layer (L7)

Resilience of the WAF and application servers (IIS, Nginx, Apache) against intelligent attacks.

  • •HTTP/S Flood: Performance separating legitimate and attack traffic.
  • •Slowloris & Slow POST: Low-traffic thread-exhaustion attacks.
  • •Bot Simulation: Validation of bot detection and rate-limiting rules.

Threshold and Capacity Analysis

Precisely pinpointing the load at which your systems start to lose performance.

  • •Concurrent Sessions: Maximum number of concurrent sessions.
  • •Time to Mitigate (TTM): The interval between attack onset and protection activation.
  • •Failover Validation: Performance of load-balancing mechanisms under load.
Delivery

Your infrastructure's report card under stress

At the end of the DDoS resilience test we deliver a technical report card showing your infrastructure's behavior under stress and the effectiveness of your protection services.

  • Capacity and Threshold Report: Maximum throughput and concurrent session metrics.
  • Defense Performance Analysis (PoC): Technical evidence of TTM and success rate for WAF/Scrubbing services.
  • Optimization Guide: Specific remediation recommendations for misconfigured WAF rules and system bottlenecks.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will our services be disrupted during the test?

The test is executed with gradual load increase and an instant kill-switch protocol. The goal is not to cause an outage but to measure your thresholds in a controlled way. Traffic is cut immediately as agreed limits are approached.

When is the test performed?

Usually during low-traffic hours or a maintenance window, on a schedule planned together with your operations teams.

Do we need to notify our ISP or cloud provider?

Yes. We coordinate with your ISP, CDN and DDoS protection providers before the test and run the required notification and authorization processes together with you.

Which attack types are simulated?

L3/L4 volumetric and protocol attacks plus L7 application-layer scenarios, including hybrid and staged combinations that reflect real-world attacks.

What will we receive as output?

A report that documents your infrastructure thresholds, the activation performance of your protection mechanisms and capacity planning recommendations: your scorecard under stress.
